Founded in 1974, Equal Rights Advocates is a national non-profit organization based in San Francisco dedicated to protecting and expanding economic and educational opportunities for women and girls through advocacy, public education, and litigation.

Strong Girl Initiative Program

You can purchase a ticket at the door between 11am and 11:30am on 6/14/17.

Strong economic futures start with equal opportunities at school. Too many girls receive early messages that they shouldn’t pursue science or sports, or that they shouldn’t report sexual violence. Girls have 1.3 million fewer opportunities to play high school sports than boys. One in five women will be victim of an assault or attempted assault while in college.

Equal Rights Advocates’ Strong Girls Initiative seeks to enforce existing laws and advocate for new policies that ensure all students can go to school safe from the threat of sexual harassment and unburdened by gender stereotypes.

Buy a ticket for a young woman to attend the luncheon as your sponsored guest. Last year, generous sponsors made it possible for over 30 girls and young women ages 11-17 to attend. This is how we foster the next generation of advocates!
